How many animals were taken by Noah on the Ark?The Bible tells us that Noah took seven of every clean animal and two of every unclean animal with him into the ark (Gen. 7:1-3). Depending on the interpretation, it is possible that Noah brough seven pairs of clean animals. He brought with him livestock, creatures that move on the ground, and every kind of bird. Some reason that around 16,000 may have been aboard the ark. This sounds like a lot, but remember the ark was huge and the animals may have been infants, requiring less space and food, and producing less waste. Bear in mind that the whole event was a miracle. The earth was devastated and the world was permanently changed. The remarkable thing was that God chose to save a small family. This is a picture of the future judgement of the world, when creation will be destroyed. However God has promised to save those who trust in Jesus. External References |
