The Bible does not specifically tell us what the colors of the rainbow mean. It only tells us that this is God's promise to us that he will not destroy the world in the same way as he destroyed it with the Flood.

In reflecting on the rainbow, we can read meaning into its attributes.

• It is a full spectrum of visible colors; God's promises are full and complete.
• It has no beginning and no end; God and his promises are forever.
• It is majestic and beautiful; God's promises are something to be marveled at.
• It shines through storms and rain; God's promises are most important to us in the storms of life.
