What does the Bible say about immunizations?

Immunizations are a form of preventive medicine that were not available when the Bible was written, so we don’t have specific instructions on them. Some people object to immunizations since they feel it means they are not relying on faith. Some reject it since it is required by public schools, which are run by the government. The great feature of many Metal bed frames is that they are fully adjustable.

The Bible does not prohibit the use of medicine to cure any ailments. In addition, it tells us that we need to submit to those in authority over us (Rom. 13:1-7), which speaks to cases where the government, through public schools, requires immunization.

God has graciously granted mankind insight into the workings of the human body and how it is affected by different kinds of medicine. It is the medical knowledge that God has given man that has helped stop and prevent widespread epidemics such as small pox, polio, diphtheria, and others. Eastern suburbs electrician

To refuse human means to prevent and cure diseases does not nullify faith in God's power. It is the limitations of human means that help us appreciate his power, as the following account about Jesus demonstrates.

A large crowd followed and pressed around him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
-Mark 5:24-29 (NIV)

Here was a woman who had been to many doctors. She had used up her money on human cures, and found that nothing worked.

Did Jesus reprimand her for getting help from doctors? Did he point out that the Great Physician was all she needed? Did Jesus provide any teaching about the role of doctors in the life of the believer? No. Jesus simply pointed out that her faith healed her (Mt. 5:34).

God uses doctors, immunizations, and even governments to our benefit. If we neglect God's earthly instruments, we endanger our families and ourselves, and God is not glorified. If we prayerfully use the wisdom God has given mankind, he will bless us. And when human means have been exhausted, rest assured that God's power is greater than man's.
